====== Vehicle ====== If I only had a single wrench, I hope it's 13mm. 10mm for thermostat bracket bolts. ====== Remote Starter ====== Does not engage A/C, rear defroster. Horn is not connected either (for programming). ===== Rear Defroster relay ===== {{ :taurus:autorelay.png?300|Relay}} ^Contact^Note^ |85|Coil - Switched by ECM, ground to activate| |86|Coil - 12v switched with ignition| |30|12V| |87|Output to Rear Defroster - 0v, 3 ohm resistance to ground| |87a|n/c|

This is not noted in the owner's manual, or the repair manual. The **horn fuse** is labeled "horn & PCM". From what I can tell, it is simply as a failsafe of sorts to disable cruise control if the horn fuse is blown. Simply pressing the horn button does not appear to disengage cruise control. ===== Repair Notes ===== [[http://v8sho.com/SHO/Dashboard%20Repair%20or%20Bad%20Dash!!%20Lay%20Down.htm|Dash trim repair]] Service Bulletin on wind noise - {{:taurus:tsb_99_6_5_windnoise.doc|}} Wiring guide - {{:taurus:taurus_wiring.pdf|}} - {{:taurus:1999_ford_taurus_wiring_guide.pdf|1999 page only}}
